Samsung Rolls Out Red Tint Display Fix For Galaxy S8 Owners In Europe And India By Rida | May 01, 2017 11:49 AM EDT After the roll-out of a software update for the red tint issue of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ in South Korea. The tech giant is now rolling out the same update in Europe and India. The company released the update earlier this week sorting out all the problems with the red tint screen. According to Sammobile, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphone software fix for the red tint has been rolled-out by the company in Germany, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. The mentioned countries are the first ones to get the patch which adds a slider for making the entire display warmer or cooler. It is reported that the red tint software patch is 426MB in size and enhances improved color optimization and convenient color adjustment. The individual RGB sliders can be accessed under the Advanced section. The advanced section also includes a 'Screen edge color balance setting,' which allows the user to change the white balance at the edges of the screen. This is the spot where most of the Samsung Galaxy S8 owners noticed the red tint. It is reported by Samsung that the changes may take up to 10 minutes to appear after adjustments. According to Android Authority, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ owners in the above-mentioned countries shall wait for the notification to pop on the screen. If the users are eagerly waiting for the software patch, then the user can head to Settings > Software update > Download updates manually to check. The update that has hit Indian tech market has a firmware version XXU1AQDG and the update is available over the air.
