LG G6 AT&T Version Is Now Releasing Its OTA Update; Fixing Some Software Issues By Ralphy Bonn Sim | Apr 28, 2017 08:29 PM EDT As noted by several LG G6 users, the AT&T version of the device is now receiving a new software update numbered H87110c. This is just a minor OTA update and has no changelog at all; however, the main purpose of the update appears to fix some software bugs, as the bug was still detected in the latest security patch level as of March 1, 2017. According to Android Central, as with all OTA updates, it will be rolled out over a period of time, as some LG G6 users may not receive their notification yet in which they can always try for a software update by just going to the phone's Setting menu and open software updates. Whenever users redo a complicated smartphone, as what have done by LG when they went from the all-metal, modular style up until it went to the all-glass with small bezels, the company found few bugs along the way in the new software. The LG G6 seems to be a big step forward for LG Company after the LG G5 was launched last year. The company's loyal fan base wasn't ready to accept the modular LG G5 with a painted metal body, even though its design allows users to replace the battery; which is a traditional feature the company has since been removed on the LG G6. To help make up for losing that option, LG later include a larger battery that starts at 2800mAh to 3300mAh where they also added wireless charging as standard. LG further made this change more effective by getting an IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. An additional big design feature is the device's new display. LG now increases the display from 5.3-inches to 5.7-inches by keeping the Quad HD resolution but gave in 18:9 aspect ratios, as noted by GSM Arena. By this, it makes the display totally taller and thinner which able to fit in a smaller physical area. The display has also Dolby Vision/HDR10 compliant which is perfect for movies and video streaming as well as giving users two perfect square for multi-window tasking.
