Samsung Galaxy S8's Red Tint Issue Software Update Rolls Out In Korea By Rida | Apr 28, 2017 05:34 AM EDT Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ red tint problem have been fixed as the Korean tech giant has rolled out a new firmware update in South Korea. The Galaxy S8 user, who have reported the issue in the Samsung's home tech market can now get rid of the red tint screen. It is reported that the company had promised earlier to release the software update before the end of this month and it has kept its word. According to Sammobile, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+issue for the red tint will be fixed by updating the firmware released by the company. The software update rolled out for the Samsung Galaxy S8 (SM-G950N) and Samsung Galaxy S8+ (SM-G955N) has a firmware version G950NKSU1AQDG and G950NKSU1AQDG respectively. The new software for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ brings an additional setting in Adaptive Display screen mode which directly helps the user to adjust the full-screen color balance as required. It is reported that in the Screen mode menu a new Screen edge color balance option also allows the user to adjust the colors at the edges in order to change the appearance of white tones. As per the Android Police, it is reported that Samsung has also promised to replace affected devices if the users are not satisfied with the screen color balance after updating the newly released software update. It is also reported that the software update is currently released in South Korea and it is expected that the software update will be soon released in other tech markets around the world. The Samsung Galaxy S8 sports a 5.8-inch QHD+ (1440x2960 pixels) Super AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. While the Samsung Galaxy S8+ sports a 6.2-inch QHD+ display with same type and resolution. Under the hood, both the smartphones are powered by the latest chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC (2.3GHz Quad + 1.7GHz Quad) with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage with an option of further expansion up to 256GB via microSD card. Both sport a 12-megapixel 'Dual Pixel' rear and an 8-megapixel front camera with autofocus feature.
