Apple TV Latest Update: DoubleTwists Launch Android AirPlay Fix For TVOS 10.2 Update By Staff Reporter | Apr 26, 2017 04:37 PM EDT Apple's latest tvOS 10.2 software update stopped AirPlay streaming for apps such as Double Twist and AirFoil by demanding hardware verification. However, DoubleTwist has come up with an update for the Android app. The update restores audio streaming over AirPlay to Apple TV. Even though tvOS 10.2 and the later uses a proprietary pairing process conveniently restricted to Apple apps and devices, the DoubleTwist added that it has found a way to fix the issue. Interestingly, both CloudPlayer and DoubleTwist Pro feature the latest AirPlay fix option, 9TO5Mac reported. The users just need to enter the AirPlay Code on the main Android device to match with the Apple TV. There is no big workaround needed from the user's side. Even though Apple TV may not be a very popular Apple product. But for the users, the latest 10.2 update really came as a big inconvenience. In fact, for those down the loop, the company had also locked out AirPlay. According to Android Police, Apple had all the plans of stopping third party apps from supporting AirPlay. In simple words, it wanted to make users switch to iPhone if using an Apple TV. But the users at present are looking out for interoperability between the devices. Since the modern household is an ecosystem of devices that are full of iPhones, Android devices, smart TVs and more, due to this DoubleTwist has come to the rescue of Apple TV users. Earlier in late March, Apple broke DoubleTwist's ability to tie to Apple TV and to be able to use for music streaming. Even though Apple has once again tried to wall its garden, this time the users get to access their AirPlay. Since 2011, the app was the best way to enjoy music without using headphone jacks to speakers. Now, it is a matter of time to see how Apple comes up with its latest updates to disable this feature.
