Huawei Needs To Find New Strategy And Stop Following Samsung’s Crooked Growth By Joseph Patrick | Apr 25, 2017 05:45 PM EDT Chinese brand Huawei has come a long way and a lot of credit goes to their impressive new mobile devices. The current ones in the market are the Huawei P10, P10 Lite and the P10 Plus. Other than that, who can forget the iconic Huawei P9 and Huawei Mate that came before it? From the outside, Huawei has advanced by leaps and bounds. And now that they have proven they are capable of giving the top brands a run for their money, it may want to check out other factors like the apps, OS updates and marketing strategy the company employs, Android Authority reported. Critics who have been keeping tabs with the Huawei onslaught have noticed several factors similar to what Samsung has been doing. That includes filling up the Huawei devices with tons of apps, most of which may not even be used by end-users. That could vary but the fact remains that adding up apps should be left at the hands of a user to avoid taking up space and affecting performance. Another thing that Huawei holds similar to Samsung is the lackadaisical Android OS updates. Except for the latest models, Huawei has been slow in upgrading old models such as the P8 and P9 series. The Huawei P9 series did get their Android Nougat update but even that went through delays. Marketing for Huawei should be easy but the growing number of variants under its portfolio has been rendering out a feeling of redundancy. Some units seem to be similar with the model name setting them apart. Huawei mentioned plans of cutting down these product lines, probably in the same way that Apple plans to do it with their iPads. Huawei continues to climb the ranks in China and is slowly creeping up in the Europe and North America market according to Fortune. Several tweaks and adjustments may be made, meaning the people behind the strategic management will need to weed things out. The products are there so it just needs direction and fine-tuning.
