The limited-edition NikeLab model will be in stores from the end of April. However, the availability of the product still remains cloudy.

Back in 2016 when Nike shook hands with Apple and launched their first collaborated product, Apple Watch Nike+, it marked the beginning of something new. However, Mac World has been critical of their newest launch and it seems they have a point. The second series does not differ much compared to the first one in terms of display. The cost is expected to be north of 450$ which is standard compared to the first series.

The upgraded version will be fortified with WatchOS 3 which will amp up the device efficiency. The Watch is said to be water resistant up to 50m, which is a boon as it will allow athletes to not only run but swim wearing them. The limited edition series will sport space gray look with a white and black band. The Verge has cited another difference, the Nike social network known as Nike+ Run Club will be incorporated in the NikeLab product.

Despite the sporty look, nothing much has changed and the decision to launch the product on Nike's website, NikeLab stores which are relatively less in numbers and a pop-up shop in Tokyo will sell these. It is hard to understand why the Apple stores will refrain from selling them, although Apple has not yet revealed its plan in detail.

The product will attract fitness enthusiasts and athletes from all over the world and its user-friendly specifications will make it an interesting buy. The product has also received its fair share of criticism for being blatant in design and the upgraded specifications seem to be unsatisfactory.

The main concern here is the unavailability of the product is Apple stores which will deter potential consumers to take a step back. However, Nike seems to be confident and assured the users about its performance. Dated April 27, 2017, all questions shall be answered.
