Moto Z Mods Latest Update: Moto Mods Accelerator Program Challenges Participants For Next Big Add-On Concept By Joseph Patrick | Apr 24, 2017 04:44 AM EDT Flexibility is an important feature for smartphone users, particularly in the area of specs. For Motorola, such seems to be the intent for the Moto Z modular add-ons, a variety of which ranges from cameras to battery charging capabilities. But then again, the possibilities are endless. Areas like audio could be improved and this could be on the horizon with Motorola’s recent initiative for the future of Moto Z mods according to the Motorola blog. The company recently put together an event which brought together hardware designers, hoping to get new ideas on modular designs to push. And it looks like they found one in Digiframe. A mod by Andrius Valentukonis and Ilja Laurs seems interesting, a sticky note type of a concept which would be situated at the rear part of the Moto Z. This mod could be a good add-on for the ones who need to keep their schedule in check, address the forgetful owners on occasion. Aside from that, there is a Moto Z mod concept from MACAY TrueSound HiFi by Abigain Brown and Yousef Alsayid. The concept is an audio converter which transforms digital-to-analog that should appease to audiophiles. A HiDef audio port would be able to connect studio equipment or high-end speakers or headphones. There are tons of new potential add-ons to consider for the Moto Z. The list includes a wireless charging mod, slider keyboard and also a solar-charging mod, Engadget reported. The Pitch Participants taking part in the Moto Mods Accelerator Program are oozing with ideas, an opportunity for aspiring engineers to see their ideas perk their stock. Most of the concepts will likely come from what current smartphones in the market have to offer. Motorola is likely expecting that but hoping for a unique add-on for the Moto Z that should help boost its stock and market niche moving forward.
