Huawei Says Nexus 6P Battery Issues Caused by Software; Google Responds to User Complaints

The technical problems of Nexus 6P are said to be caused by the software according to Huawei. However, Google says the problem is not on their part and explains the cause of the issue to users sending their complaints to them. And because of this, Huawei is seriously considering a lawsuit against Google.

According to XDA Developers, many of Huawei Nexus 6P users are having problems with their unit. The majority of the complaint says the unit shuts down early even the battery still have 60% power. Chimicles & Tikellis LLP is now investigating the problem to see the possibility of a lawsuit filed against Google.

The problem seems to be caused by mobile phones running Android 7.0 Nougat which is the very same issue that LG Nexus 5X is experiencing. According to reports, both handsets are experiencing the same boot loop issues and changing the OS back to Marshmallow 6.0 doesn’t solve the problem. Last week, LG is already facing lawsuits regarding the issues of their handsets so it wouldn’t be surprising if the same thing happens to Huawei or Google.

Now users have contacted Huawei to resolve the issue but the company said the problem is in the software, according to Tech Times. Therefore, the manufacturer’s warranty cannot cover the defect. Customers then go to Google for help but the company said the problem is in the handset’s tracker. This means users should go back to Huawei and ask for a replacement.

Now, none of the two companies want to be held responsible for the defect so Chimicles & Tikellis LLP are doing what they can to help the users. And until a lawsuit is filed, the customers are left in the middle with no company willing to find out what really went wrong with their unit. Huawei Nexus 6P is an LTE smartphone running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 in Marshmallow 6.0 OS but upgradeable to Nougat.
