iPad Air 2 Latest News & Update: Apple Has Catchy Offers For iPad 4 Owners By Joseph Patrick | Apr 18, 2017 03:15 AM EDT With most of the attention these days on the iPad Pro, most are eager to upgrade if the opportunity arises. The iPad 4 has been around since 2012 and some users may be thinking of such, assuming they do have the money to spare. If not, Apple is offering something better in the form of the iPad Air 2. The recourse is not really something if compared to the latest iPad Pro. Nevertheless, it is an upgrade in a different kind of way that is technically free. The iPad Air 2 came out in 2014, two years after the iPad 4. With the iPad 4 presumably out of stock, the Cupertino company is offering something cheeky in the form of the iPad Air 2. The thing here is that the offer covers only busted iPad 4 tablets, 9 to 5 Mac reported. Crazy as it may sound, some may try and find a way to break or brick their devices to avail of the offer. Apple will, of course, assess the problem of the iPad 4 units, meaning they would be wise to whoever goes this route. For those who do have broke iPad 4 lying around, this should be good news. Some may have already opted to give up on the 2012 tablet and replace it with a new one by now. Rather than leave it gaining dust, bringing it to Apple to see if it would be replaced could be an inadvertent upgrade most didn’t think was possible. To refresh, the iPad Air 2 is powered by an A8x chipset with 2 GB of RAM. It sports a 9.7-inch screen (1536x2048 resolution) and comes with a 7340 mAh battery. It has an 8 MP rear camera, 1.2 MP front-facing shooter and 32 GB/ 128 GB internal storage as well. It may not be the latest tablet in the market but is certainly a tablet that could be still of some use, Phone Arena reported.
