In the latest rumor mill, the Chinese smartphone includes RAM, SoC, and display details. In a report by GSM Arena, the OnePlus 5 is said to sport a Snapdragon 835 as its SoC. Other smartphones that were reported to also use the Snapdragon 835 are the Nokia 9, Google Pixel 2, and Xiaomi Mi 6. In addition, Chinese site PCPop has reported that the OnePlus 5 is expected to have an 8GB worth of RAM and 256GB worth of storage. This is an upgrade from the 6GB worth of RAM of OnePlus 3T. The publication has also reported that the OnePlus 5 will also have a hardware navigation keys. It also said that the bezel will be slimmer compared to the OnePlus 3T. With this design, the OnePlus 5 is reported to have its fingerprint scanner housed at the back of the smartphone. The publication said that it will be 7mm thin, which is slightly slimmer than its predecessor phone. Gadgets 360 has reported that the OnePlus 5 will also have a 5.5-inch 2K display or 1080x2048 pixels. The smartphone will also have a camera with a 23-megapixel sensor at the back. The camera will support fast flash, stabilization, and optical image. In previous reports about the OnePlus 5, it was indicated that it will have a dual-edge screen and a 16-megapixel front camera. Moreover, it is expected to have 256GB worth of storage, an improvement from its predecessor's 128 GB. Currently, people are predicting that the OnePlus 5 would be released in May or June 2017.
