Xiaomi's new offer is now noted to be offering some groundbreaking upgrades for its consumers. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 will still have the same metal unibody design as its predecessor as reported by PCA Advisor. However, it should weigh a few grams more at 328g with a 7.9-inch display. The fortchcoming tablet should also have an even more competitive performance, storage and battery power and should run MIUI 8. Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 willI feature a 4GB RAM and 64GB standard storage capacity. Sadly, there is no microSD slot for the device. An increase in battery capacity from 6,160mAh to 6,600mAh now offers up to 867 hours on standby and 12 hours of media playback. The camera for the tablet claims to be a 13MP with f/2.2 sensor. In regards to its color, the newest device only comes in champagne gold. It isn't revealed yet whether the Chinese mega tech manufacturer will be releasing new variants in the coming months. According to GSM Arena, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 will house the new Mediatek MT8176 chipset, boasting two 2.1GHz Cortex-A72 cores and four 1.7GHz Cortex-A53 ones. As such, this should be more than capable of having an impressive performance especially when it is combined with 4GB of RAM. However, due to the change in its processor, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is restricted to Android only unlike the Mi Pad 2 which runs for both Android and Windows. It has been reported that the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 will retail at ¥1,499 ($218) which makes it one of the affordable Android tablets out there. No further news yet regarding its availability outside of China. However, looking into Xiaomi's track record, consumers may be able to get the Mi Pad 3 by importing via third-party sellers.
