‘Battlefield 1’ New Glitch Makes the Game Scary By Staff Reporter | Apr 11, 2017 10:05 AM EDT A new glitch in “Battlefield 1” has been discovered and it makes the game scary and creepy. A GIF is now making the rounds online and it shows a player sniping a figure from the top of the mountain. However, the figure disappears when viewed in the scope but remains in the same position when not in scope. The player attempts to check again but still gets the same result until the figure suddenly appears in front of him and engages a fight. One of the unique features that “Battlefield 1” offers is its dynamic weather, including a foggy landscape according to Gamerant. In the GIF, it looks like a gas grenade has been launched which explains the yellow fog. The player spots a figure from afar at the top of a hill but disappears when viewed via a scope. After the third attempt of the player, he removes the zoom and suddenly the figure jumps down the hill and warps right in front of him to engage a fight. The GIF didn’t reveal whether he killed the figure or lost the game but it is enough to scare many players. According to Segment Next, the GIF gives the game a “Silent Hill” feel, especially the disappearing part and the sudden warp right in front of his eyes. Many "Battlefield 1" players have watched the GIF repeatedly but still couldn’t figure out how it happened. Some players believe it was just a lag but based on the active kill feed while some say the figure on the hill experience a lag so the server had to quickly readjust the position which explains the warping. Despite the glitch discovered, many players still like the fog feature of the game and particularly enjoys the fog-focused mode of “Battlefield 1”. In this mode, players will explore a forest map with looping paths, blind turns and use only pistols as weapons.
