There is no official word yet on when the OnePlus 5 will be coming out with most relying on the hearsays to figure out what the next flagship will have to offer. Most are aware how the company places a premium on power specs and the latest one has to do with the Random Access Memory (RAM).

According to PCPop.com, the OnePlus 5 will come with 8 GB of RAM, technically double than what most mobile phones now offer in the market. That RAM power count hardly comes as a surprise seeing how OnePlus has done it with past phones. Additionally, it complements other rumored specs for the upcoming device.

Based on gathered information, the OnePlus 5 will rely on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset featuring an octa-core processor and Adreno 540 GPU. Aside from that, the additional RAM could help back up the high-resolution display of the OnePlus 5, believed to be 1440x2560 resolution. Further, there is reportedly a dual-camera which will be vertical instead of horizontal, Tech Times reported.

Other features of the OnePlus 5 have yet to be known though expect that to include even the advanced biometric security that most smartphones carry to date. The safest to expect is a fingerprint scanner, a biometric perk to ramp up phone security. Other features to ponder on include wireless charging or maybe giving the device some virtual reality savvy like most devices are now phasing into.

With regards to the release date of the OnePlus 5, the safest bet is by the second half of 2017. A logical month is November which would mark exactly one year since the OnePlus 3T came out. If so, the next worry of most is availability. OnePlus follows an uncanny business model that has been strangely working on their end. It did break down barriers with the OnePlus 3T, making it available in North America last November. Could the upcoming OnePlus 5 be within reach as well?
