Xiaomi Mi Mix Heads To South Korea By Staff Writer | Apr 07, 2017 07:01 AM EDT Xiaomi Mi Mix is making headlines again as it makes its way to South Korea, the mainland territory of smartphone giant Samsung Electronics. After making its debut in Vietnam in March, Xiaomi's latest device is set to be launched in South Korea this month. The China-based smartphone leader is expected to bring changes to the market that is primarily dominated by Samsung and LG. Reports from The Korea Herald states that G-Mobi Korea, the official local retailer for Xiaomi products in Korea, already opened pre-orders of the Xiaomi Mi Mix. They are expected to start shipping out orders by April 28. The Xiaomi Mi Mix will reportedly retail at a price tag of 799,000 Won ($ 707). The Mi Mix model offers 256 gigabytes of its data storage capacity. It is also equipped with a fingerprint scanner. Aside from that, the Xiaomi Mi Mix boasts a 6.4-inch display and a 4,400 mAh battery capacity. This device operates on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with either 4 or 6GB RAM. The main camera for this device is a 16MP shooter at f/2.0 aperture and the front-facing camera is a 5MP shooter. For a concept phone, Xiaomi Mi Mix is surprisingly affordable. And with its bezel-less screen as a sight to behold, we seem to be looking into more innovative products Xiaomi could offer. An official from G-Mobi Korea also stated, "We plan to introduce various Xiaomi products in the South Korean market down the road." Xiaomi may have picked a challenging path by taking on flagship handsets on their home soil but it looks like to be a part of a broader business plan, With the innovations Xiaomi offers, this could be a glimpse into our future.
