Sceptilite, Blazikenite & Swampertite Mega Stones Cannot Be Used In ‘Pokemon Sun And Moon’ 2017 International Challenge By Vittorio Hernandez | Apr 07, 2017 04:20 AM EDT “Pokemon Sun and Moon” players could compete in the 2017 International Challenge which starts on April 19. To qualify, players around the globe must accumulate Championship Points. If qualified, they would be invited to the Pokemon World Championships that would be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California on Aug. 18-20. Three Battles But “Pokemon Sun and Moon” trainers are required to participate first in three battles at the 2017 International Challenge April competition. They will then be eligible to the Sceptilite, Blazikenite, and Swampertite Mega Stone giveaways, but it could not be used in the competition, Telegiz reports. The Mega Stone Blazikenite allows Blaziken to Mega Evolve in battles, while the Mega Stone Sceptilite allows Sceptilite to Mega Evolve. The Mega Stones, introduced to the Pokemon franchise with “Pokemon X and Y,” were previously considered not attainable. However, in late February, players who joined online competitions received the Mega Stones for Mawile and Beedrill as a gift. These Mega Stone giveaways are no longer available in “Pokemon Sun and Moon,” according to Polygon. VGC 2017 Rules According to the Pokemon Company, the next battle, which runs from April 28 through 30, would use VGC 2017 rules for the “Pokemon Sun and Moon” Double Battle event. It would accommodate various Pokemon from the Alola Region, except Cosmoem, Lunala, Necrozma, Zygarde, Cosmog, Magearna, and Solgaleo, Blasting News reports. Besides the seven Pokemon, monsters transported from past games through the Pokemon Bank cannot join, Hardcore Gamer reports. For qualified players who participated in the “Pokemon Sun and Moon” Kanto X Alola Regional Rumble event, they could redeem the Steelixite and Pidgeotite Mega Stones until April 27. Meanwhile, there would be another “Pokemon Sun and Moon” Global Mission on April 10 in which players would face the challenge of hatching more than 200,000 eggs.
