LG G6 Survives Ultimate Durability Test, Exceeds Expectations By Staff Writer | Apr 06, 2017 06:22 AM EDT LG has just unveiled its latest flagship phone, the LG G6. Being a premium smartphone, the latest flagship from LG boasts of materials that should withstand a lot of abuse. The infamous Youtuber JerryRigEverything reportedly subjected the premium iteration to an ultimate durability test and just as expected, has exceeded most expectations. According to Android Authority, the LG G6's entire front surface is protected with tempered Gorilla Glass 3 which makes it a given that it should survive scratches from everyday objects. This goes the same with the 5.7-inch edge-to-edge display that is protected by this glass and as a result allows it not to break easily when it's dropped accidentally. As for the fingerprint sensor which is mounted at the back, despite enduring deep scratches, it still should work efficiently. Moreover, LG G6 offers two rear camera sensors that have glass protecting them. However, it is still recommended to have a case or a skin to protect the back of the device since materials such as granite can still leave a permanent mark. The sides of the device are made up of all metal and as evidenced in the video for the bend test. And as the glass on the back is tucked inside the metal side frame, the device does not buckle under pressure and the seams remained solid. As for the burn test, the LG G6 utilizes an IPS display panel which recovers faster from heat damage compared to the usual AMOLED display. Overall, the components used both inside and outside the new LG G6 are of premium grade materials. It only goes to show that LG puts overall quality as a priority and this latest flagship device is apparently engineered to last. If you think this is the best device for you, the LG G6 is rumored to be officially released this early April 2017
