Fans of Diablo games who want to play “Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer” but cannot wait for the title’s official launch in the later part of 2017 could participate in the Public Test Realm program of Blizzard. As beta testers, they could test the patches before the developer releases the game to the public. But Blizzard is considering putting in place a new mechanic to the game’s beta version which would make the public testing a bit different.

New Mechanics For Beta Testing

Mic speculates the new mechanics for the beta testing of “Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer” could be by invitation only or only those who pre-order the new title would become beta testers. Blizzard has not given an exact date for the launch of the new game, except it would be by the second half of 2017. In the meantime, Season 10 of “Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls” just started on March 31.

The Necromancer class in “Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer” is new to the installment. But it had already appeared in “Diablo 2.” The new set of skills is centered on blood and corpses. Julian Love, the lead VFX artist of “Diablo 3,” says although the Necromancers are gory, they are neither good nor bad.

Darkest Class In World Of Diablos

He explains the Necromancer represents the darkest of the classes in the Diablo world. However, the skills also do well everywhere it goes. Love says it features on “Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer” a kind of juxtaposition between good and evil.

Blizzard says it targets to make the Necromancer as unique as possible. Gamers, however, note that it could be similar to the Witch Doctor, Telegiz reports. The Necromancer’s ability to play with dead bodies or order the Blood Golem around could be useful in keeping the “Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer” player alive.

Fansided says there is a male and female Necromancer in “Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer.” Matthew Berger, the senior game designer, and Rob Foote, lead game producer of “Diablo,” said at PAX East 2016 that the female Necromancer has a very 1970s rockstar vibe that matches her blasé attitude.
