NES Classic Edition, Nintendo Switch Stocks Again Sold Out Within a Few Minutes By Harsh Soni h_soniji@rediffmail.com | Apr 05, 2017 06:43 AM EDT Nintendo's NES Classic edition and ultimate Switch console are in really very high demand since launch. Recently both were offered for sale for a limited duration and once again they sold out like hot cakes within a few minutes. The NES Classic edition has been offered as part of a promotional sale where a variety of sellers unload their stock in restricted quantities. This is what looks like a sale strategy that has been adopted by retailers such as Best Buy. However, it is worth noting that even in 2017; the popularity of the nostalgic portable gaming console has not faded away. Last month, Best Buy took to its Twitter handle to announce the limited quantities of the two consoles from Nintendo, which will be up for sale on March 29 at 13:00 ET. The Big N would be putting up the newfangled gaming console, Switch and the NES Classic edition for sale through an exclusive sale page. Nevertheless, right now the said page showcases just the Switch system with gray Joy-Cons, according to GameSpot. It looks like, the company sold all units in just a few minutes but, Nintendo is no stranger to receiving such an awesome response from the huge fanbase of its popular console. Nintendo Switch and NES Classic Edition derived to popularity as soon as they launched in early March and last November respectively. Earlier in this year, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime have also pointed out that the NES Classic Edition's issues were a case of miscalculating demand. In the aftermath, Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima has expressed his regret and even apologized for the supply chain problem. The popular console maker was reportedly gearing up to ship a whopping 2 million Nintendo Switch units across the globe by the end of last month. In the meantime, multiple sources suggest its production has been doubled for the months ahead.
