Samsung's latest flagship smartphones - the Galaxy S8 series, will undoubtedly come down as the most expensive models by the Korean tech company to date. Although the price may slightly vary depending on regions, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are priced in the range of $720 and $840 respectively, slightly higher than the predecessor Galaxy S7 series. However, there is a new report that the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be sold up to a whopping $1000, a price that can be considered as "very expensive" in today's smartphone market.

During the official launch, the Galaxy S8 series were introduced to feature 4GB of RAM, similar to the Galaxy S7 series. Prior to the massive amount of leaks over the internet, the Samsung S8 series were heavily expected to carry 6GB of RAM, considering that newer (and cheaper) smartphones released in mid-2016 are now armed with 6GB of RAM.

Samsung is apparently still up for the idea, but it comes with extra cost and only one region was selected as the market target. The 6GB RAM version of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be available in China, and will cost $1020 - additional $200 or more from the original price. It is currently unknown if this version will be available outside of China, but to have extra 2GB of RAM for $200 does sound a bit too much, according to Ubergizmo.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ have taken quite a journey before being officially revealed. Samsung has taken a considerable amount of time to create the models after the company was hit by the unfortunate events of the Galaxy Note 7 which caused unexpected explosion and hazard to the users.

Previously, Samsung has released a 6GB of RAM smartphone model before. The Galaxy C9 Pro first unveiled in China with an impressive 4000mAh battery, running on Snapdragon 653 processor. Surprisingly, the Galaxy C9 is much cheaper than the Samsung flagships, with just around $550.
