Nintendo Switch Day One Patch Released For Stabilization, Nothing Special Noted By Joseph Patrick | Mar 29, 2017 12:40 PM EDT The Nintendo Switch got a day one patch but the update barely offered anything for gamers to rave about. All the update brought was a couple of components though it was mostly released to help stabilize the recently launched game console. The Nintendo Switch came out earlier this month though gamers are expecting more in the form of updates. Among the stuff the recent patch gave included access to the eShop outside the general system stability for enhanced user experience, Game Stop reported. The update for the Nintendo Switch is currently rolling out though owners are not forced to apply it. It will prompt in the background before installing. Being a patch, gamers are encouraged to apply it. If not prompted, Nintendo Switch owners could head on to the system area of the settings menu for the installation process to commence. Though carrying no frills, Nintendo Switch owners are hoping to get more credible updates moving forward. One of the most-awaited updates has to do with the Virtual Console – one that would integrate a mobile app to facilitate voice chats. An update is anticipated this Summer with expanded online services following in the fall. There are still more fixes needed with the bugs slowly showing for the Nintendo Switch. This would include problems like a DNS error that has been giving some gamers errors when connecting to a network, BGR reported. Aside from that, there is an issue as well with the Joy-Con connectivity. As far as the DNS error problem, a resolution is to turn off the Nintendo Switch and boot it up once more. While it does resolve the matter, Nintendo is expected to address the issue at some point with a different patch. Unfortunately, that was not included in the patch that recently came out so gamers will have to expand their patience for a fix for now.
