Google Maps Beta ‘Save Your Parking’ Feature Replaced by Share Your Location By Ralphy Bonn Sim | Mar 29, 2017 12:26 PM EDT Google has recently removed the Save Your Parking feature from its beta channel of Google Maps after ten days of trial. Earlier this month, its functionality was initially debuted and disappeared from the app in the same it originally appeared; without any particular announcements. Following the Google App, the Google Maps beta version received upgrades to 9.49.1 and 9.49.2, however, it's unclear which package removed the Save Your Parking Feature. According to JOE, the Alphabet-owned tech company might have limited the option of manually saving one's parking location through a server-side update. Google Maps beta version Save Your Parking feature is definitely gone and has been replaced with a Share Your Location functionality that freshly started rolling out to more users following its removal from Google+. With the ten-day trial, beta users of Google Maps were able to manually save up the location of their parking spot by just tapping the blue dot icon in the app and selecting the save Your Parking option. As noted by noted by Tech Times, the Save Your Parking feature allow users to set a countdown timer on metered parking lots plus providing an ability to add notes and images to the location within the app. Google Map's Save Your Parking feature was more accurate, useful, and robust than the regular method utilized by the app for saving parking information. Google's app eventually only estimate users parking location by determining the approximate place where they have stopped driving; a more limited alternative to the option that was removed from the app. The removed Save Your Parking feature also supported permanent notifications in which users can easily access their parking locations until the moment they get back to their car. Google Company has never made any particular announcements about the removal of Save Your Parking feature; theories has been created that it's possible that the feature is still in an extended development. As for this theory, we can expect the Google might introduce more options and functionalities to their Google Map.
