‘Pokemon Go’: PokeHuntr Looming As Best Pocket Monster Tracker To Use By Joseph Patrick | Mar 29, 2017 07:05 AM EDT Niantic has placed premium when it comes to discouraging the use of bots and trackers for “Pokemon Go.” While some have heeded the warning, there are still a lot of augmented reality gamers who take the risk. Many third-party trackers have come and go and the latest one in the market is PokeHuntr. Like most “Pokemon Go” trackers, PokeHuntr skims an area to help in the hunt of pocket monsters. The person behind PokeHuntr is the same one responsible for GymHuntr, Pokemon Go Hub reported. For those who missed that app, it is something that helps track the state of gyms in an area to give an advanced tip on how to handle the logistics of one’s planned attack. While PokeHuntr is a tempting aid for “Pokemon Go” players, it also has some shortcomings. This includes slow scans which are limited to 90-second intervals. A suggested way to make scanning faster is to scan areas alongside friends. Using it does not require a “Pokemon Go” player to log into his account. Results are accurate and said to be 100-percent accurate. “Pokemon Go” players who used previous trackers such as FastPokeMap should immediately get the hang of PokeHuntr. It should be something helpful for the ones not satisfied with the built-in tracker though most are warned about risks. Niantic may not be that strict at the moment though game bans could be implemented without warning. Aside from PokeHuntr, there are several other trackers worth checking out for “Pokemon Go” that can be considered. This includes third-party apps such as Poke Radar, Go Radar and PokeNotify, Pocket Gamer reported. The advantage that PokeHuntr has is that it is a web-based application. This means that a player account is safe from being banned though performance could be an issue. With over 80 new Pokemon and the water-type critters out there, “Pokemon Go” trackers could help in the hunt. Some may have a long way to go so this could be a needed push to enjoy the game more.
