Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release, Features, Specs & Speculations: Everything We Know So Far!

Rounding up all the speculation and rumors about the possible features of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 led the followers in dismay. Many features have rumored to be integrated, but it remains unverified from the tech giant till now. Here are the release date, rumored features news, and updates of Microsoft Surface Pro 5.

Nevertheless, one report claims that the 2-in-1 will come with HoloLens, but afterwards that report was debunked. If latest reports are to be believed then the release of much anticipated Microsoft Surface Pro 5 might be in the next major Windows 10 update, called Redstone 2.

There are also some reports saying that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be featuring Intel's latest Kaby Lake processor. However some reports, with the speculation of a Hollywood movie trailer, claims that the device will feature AMD Ryzen processor. Still some features like rechargeable Surface Pen, a new keyboard and long battery life, are common in all reports.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to have 4K display; however reports claim that this impossible as the 4K screen on a 12-inch device requires additional battery life and that is something which the huge issue in Surface Pro series. Moreover, the Surface Pro 4 already has 2736 x 1824 pixel resolution screens for 267 pixels per inch.

However new report coming from Know You Mobile claims that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 also include Cannonlake processors which are set to succeed Kaby Lake and the use of 10nm architecture. Despite the rumors, Microsoft remains tight lipped over the matter and even with the integration of the Kaby Lake processors remains unconfirmed for Microsoft Surface Pro 5.

Reports also claimed that there is a possibility that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be released in two variants. One is the AMD-based and the other one is the Intel powered version. Others also reported that instead of Intel Kaby Lake chip, the technology will be using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 processor

The release date for Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is rumored to come within the last days of March or April. As for the rumored dates, Microsoft has not given any official feedbacks confirming the speculated dates.
