Samsung Galaxy S8 & S8 Plus Leaked Target Deal: Get Samsung Gear VR Plus A $100 Gift Card Free By Staff Reporter | Mar 23, 2017 04:40 PM EDT Samsung's latest deal for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus flagship phones could cause a stir among fans. It seems like someone has leaked the official Target catalog scheduled for Apr. 2 to Apr. 8, which features a deal for the upcoming South Korean Giant's flagship devices. The leaked ad features a deal that offers customers free goodies when any of these upcoming devices is preordered. The leak notes that Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, when pre-ordered, will come along with the new Samsung Gear VR headset (including the controller) absolutely free. Customers who preorder either of the Samsung devices, will not only get the Samsung Gear VR (which has an official retail cost of $129.99) but also offer a gift card worth $100 usable at Target stores. However, the Samsung S8 and S8 Plus deals do come with a catch, which states that customers will have to purchase any of the devices through Verizon's Device Payment program, AT&T Next, or Sprint's 24-month installment plan. Additionally, Target's leaked ad does not imply on the price tags for the upcoming devices. We will get more insight to the update once the phones release on Mar. 29, in New York City. By the looks of it, Samsung is planning on boosting its preordering sales through the use of free goodies. The deal is set to release in the US initially, which if becomes a success, could be introduced in other mobile markets as well. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus deal could officially go online in the South Korean market as well where the phones are reportedly shipping pre-orders before the official sale begins. Maybe this is a strategy that Samsung plans to rectify the loss it faced through the Galaxy Note 7. Hopefully, everything will be clear soon.
