This major update indicates that Google will begin to treat the tablet as an official Pixel device. It is clear that Android 7.1.2 Beta 2 debuted today intended for all Google Nexus and Google Pixel devices despite being a minor update will bring a lot for the Google tablet devices. As for Google Pixel and Pixel XL, there are only two notable updates in this latest beta release. First, is an update to March 5's recently security patch which is a welcome update for those who want to experience on the bleeding edge but don't want to give up security. Second is an addition of the Powered by Android logo that Google first debuted; up until now Google Pixel brand has been discreet regarding the fact that these phones can run Android, as noted by Android Headlines. In addition to the updated security patch, the Android 7.1.2 Beta 2 also features a supported fingerprint gestures intended for the Google Nexus 6P; hence, it was still under evaluation quite some time ago. This feature was evaluated in Nexus 5X in the first beta release of Android 7.1.2 and many have asked when it will hit Nexus 6P, but thankfully Google has been good to get things done properly for their consumers. According to 9to5 Google, these features that are all equipped with Android 7.1.2 Beta 2 will work properly on both Pixel XL and Nexus 6P. To activate these features, users may simply go into Phone Settings then Moves and tap the feature on. Meanwhile, Google's Pixel C tablet has made big upgrades with the Android 7.1.2 Beta 2 which covers with the Pixel brand. With this, the software buttons have been updated to all white version including its color scheme which has been changed to blue/gray along with the default Google Now Launcher which has also been replaced with the Pixel Launcher. Android 7.1.2 is available now through the Android Beta Program.
