Bell, EastLink, Freedom Mobile, SaskTel, Virgin Mobile and Wind Mobile were among those who released the update. Following these carriers, Rogers, Fido, Videotron, and Telus has also brought Nougat to its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge customers. The Android 7.0 Nougat for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge brings a slew of new features, including a redesigned UI, display scaling options, multi-window mode, in-line notification replies, and much more. If you're having either an S7 or S7 edge from Rogers or Telus, then go into your phone's settings now, to see if an update is available for your device, as per Android Central. However, Rogers and Telus have followed up soon after the rollout from Bell, Virgin Mobile, SaskTell, Freedom Mobile etc. Some Canadian users might still be disappointed that the process of Android 7.0 Nougat update to Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge is a month behind US carriers, according to Android Authority. The Android 7.0 Nougat update to Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge is rolling out over-the-air now but it may take several days to appear on to your device. Refresh the software update page in your handset's settings menu and see if it's ready for it. The Android 7.0 Nougat update comes for about 1.2GB and brings features like split screen mode, better battery life, and access to the new emoji set, with others more features. Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge users should have received a notification but can also download Android 7.0 by tapping About Device >> Software Update. This latest Nougat update also includes the monthly security patches, according to Mobile Syrup. You should also keep in mind that this update is likely to be a large one, so you are advised to use your Wi-Fi connection to download it. The Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge handset should have at least a 50 percent charge before downloading and installing the update and it also takes up to 20 minutes for it to complete the install process. Android 7.0 Nougat was officially available to the public on August 22nd, 2016, and was first available to select Nexus devices, which includes the Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus Player and the Pixel C.
