‘Mass Effect: Andromeda’ News: Game Experts Notice Glitches & Bugs on 1st Day of Release By Vittorio Hernandez | Mar 21, 2017 08:45 AM EDT After the Tuesday release of action role-playing video game “Mass Effect: Andromeda,” game experts immediately noticed some bugs and glitches in the game for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. Following the complaints of players, Fernando Melo, producer of the game, tweeted that Bioware, developer of the game, would release an update. The patch would fix the issues affecting the game such as problems with the Corsair Utility Engine, multiplayer sounds, and the function keys. Patch Forthcoming Melo also promises changes from the server side that should fix problems on Challenges on “Mass Effect: Andromeda” which could not be finished, PC Gamer reports. The updates would possibly be rolled out on Tuesday or Wednesday. In its review of the newly released game, the gaming website says there were no show-stoppers, but it observes incorrect audio cues, wrong quest notifications and persistent bugs in which companions are quiet during conversations. It indicates that “Mass Effect: Andromeda” needs a quality assurance pass which apparently never took place, PC Gamer adds. Due to these glitches, BioWare temporarily took the Apex leaderboards offline while it fixes the rating calculations. Players would still be able to see their Apex ratings, but it could be significantly be lowered once BioWare introduces changes. Fun-To-Watch Bugs However, Games Radar points out that some of the bugs on “Mass Effect: Andromeda” are fun to watch. In particular, it cites the emotive Krogan whose movements are confusing if he is doing a Krogan Sign Language, interpretative dance, angrily interpreting for the Asari on the background or doing Shia LeBouf’s “do it” bit. Express cites IGN’s 7.7 rating for “Mass Effect: Andromeda” which it points out lacks new races, companion customization and has major performance problems. GameSpot gave it a lower 6 rating because the game “feels like a vision half-fulfilled” and for containing a dizzying amount of content but suffers from wildly fluctuating quality.
