‘Pokemon GO’ News: Redditor Makes Egg Hatching Rates Rarity Chart Listing What To Expect From 2, 5 & 10 Km Eggs By Vittorio Hernandez | Mar 20, 2017 05:23 AM EDT Following the Gen 2 update of “Pokemon GO” when over 80 monsters were introduced to the game, a Redditor made a rarity chart of egg hatching rates for eggs that require two, five and 10 kilometers of walking. What the chart says is that the further the distance of walk required, the rarer the eggs that are hatched. The chart says three eggs could not be hatched at all. Eggs & Hatch Chances Tech Times reports that for two-kilometer eggs, the rarest to hatch are Remoraid which have a 1.74 percent chance. It is followed by Misdreavus with a 0.87 percent chance. The implication of these numbers is that “Pokemon GO” players would need to hatch a lot of two-kilometer eggs to get hold of these two monsters. The rarity chart identifies Yanma, Wobbuffet, Sneasel, Shuckle, Girafarig and Dunsparce as the rarest Pokemon to hatch for the five-kilometer eggs. These six monsters have a 0.62 percent chance of hatching. For the 10-kilometer eggs, the rarity increases a few percentage points. Miltank and Skarmory, the rarest hatches in “Pokemon GO," have a 2.57 percent chance, while Sudowoodo and Mareep have 5.13 percent chance of hatching. Anecdotes & Community-Sources Findings Until the rarity chart of “Pokemon GO” egg hatching rate came out, collecting rare Pokemon were based on anecdotes and community-sourced findings. Besides the chart made by Redditors RotomGuy and OhAeroHD, Eurogamer also came up with its own chart. The chart lists both Pokemon from Gen 1 and Gen 2 that are common, uncommon, rare, very rare, egg-hatching only and special item evolution only. It also identifies Heracross and Corsole of Gen 2 as region-exclusive Pokemon. “Pokemon GO” Hub confirms the list made by the Redditor with Remoroid listed as a rare hatch chance and Misdreavu as ultra-rare for the two-kilometer eggs. But it has a longer list of 14 Pokemon considered as ultra-rare for the five-kilometer eggs and five monsters for the 10-kilometer eggs. These are Snorlax, Aerodactyl, Lapras, Skarmony and Miltank.
