Latest Leaks Claim Samsung Galaxy S8 Camera Can Record Up To 1000fps By Amrin Shaikh | Mar 17, 2017 08:48 AM EDT Samsung Galaxy S8 is creating numerous buzz and the latest rumor about the phone will help it to beat iPhone 8 or iPhone X. Reports are coming from the Rumor mill that the camera of Samsung's upcoming phone will have the capabilities of recording ultra slo-mo 1000fps video. This is just similar to what Sony offered with the IMX400-powered Motion Eye camera on its new Xperia XZs and Xperia XZ Premium. To capture the slo-mo 1000fps video, the Samsung Galaxy S8 camera will support an additional DRAM memory which will be implemented between the camera's sensor and the circuitry of the image signal processor. This memory is vital for extreme slo-mo video recording, as it gathers a large amount of data. It is necessary to store such a large data somewhere before the ISP can deal with. Apart from the rear camera of Samsung Galaxy S8, the company even upgraded its front camera for better user experience. From the same sources, it is rumored that the front camera will be equipped with an autofocus for providing better results to selfie snappers. We can expect that the front camera will have 8 megapixels, as per PhoneArena. The front camera is not the only camera that will be equipped on the front of the Samsung Galaxy S8. Samsung is focusing on iris scanner rather than face recognition, so it is possible that the phone might have a 3.7 MP camera for scanning the iris of the users in order to unlock the phone. It is also speculated that the company is going to launch Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 plus on Mar. 29. Besides the slo-mo camera, Samsung Galaxy S8 is a home for many innovative features including wireless charging, invisible home button, iris scanner and curved display names to few. Here's the demo for capturing slo-mo 1000fps video from your smartphone. Stay tuned to more Galaxy S8 updates and news.
