The Brand New 2018 Nissan Qashqai Has Arrived By Eamon J Jawatin | Mar 17, 2017 05:08 AM EDT The new Nissan Qashqai with ProPilot technology has finally arrived. Nissan introduced their latest offering at the ongoing 87th Geneva Motor Show. The new model was praised by experts for its ability to accelerate, decelerating and steering itself when traveling on highways. The Japanese company also proudly announced that the updated Qashqai offers a new look, improved ride and handling and also features an updated cabin which will give a more refined on-the-road experience. However, it now faces stiff competition from rivals like the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross, the Volkswagen Tiguan and the Seat Ateca. This second-generation model builds upon the ground-breaking brilliance of its predecessor. The Nissan Qashqai will also feature a quieter cabin - made possible by the improved sound insulation, according to Behind the Wheel. The compact crossover SUV also equipped with a new dashboard design and upgraded steering wheel. The latest generation of the NissanConnect infotainment system is also available, complete with digital radio, a new user interface as well as improved satellite navigation. The 2018 Nissan Qashqai was specifically built in the UK for global markets to better meet customer expectations, according to Nissan spokesperson. Chairman of Nissan Europe Paul Willcox said in one of his statements that the new Nissan Qashqai is a proof that the company is continuously setting new standards in the crossover segment. The safety features will include an intelligent Emergency Braking System, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Pedestrian Recognition. Other available technologies are extended to traffic recognition, driver attention alert, park assist, blind spot monitoring and lane departure warning. The company also said that the Nissan Qashqai will also be able to provide a smoother driving experience, thanks to its suspension and better steering systems, as well as reduced noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels - made possible from thicker rear glass and quality sound absorption materials.
