'Injustice 2' New Character Revealed! Character from CW 'The Flash' Adapted By Staff Reporter | Mar 15, 2017 06:00 AM EDT A new character at the upcoming fighting video game "Injustice 2" will be added to the roster. The more exciting part is this character is not just a straight adaptation from the comic books but also to its TV counterpart. WWE wrestler Xavier Wood's YouTube channel UpUpDown has revealed that Firestorm will be the new addition to the playable characters in "Injustice 2". To some, it is not a huge surprise since NetherRealm Studio's creative director Ed Boon already teased the addition of the character last December 2016 in his Twitter account. In the video uploaded on UpUpDown, a gameplay of "Injustice 2" that shows various characters. In the 7:45 mark of the video, Firestorm is seen as a far-range character who can attack by firing projectiles from distance like creating fireballs and torpedoes. DestructToid has reported that the character of Firestorm in "Injustice 2" is not just simply an adapted character from the comic book source. The design of the character has a mix from the comics and from the CW's "Legends of Tomorrow" portrayal of actor Robbie Amell. Firestorm will now join the new roster of characters in "Injustice 2". These new playable characters are Doctor Fate, Cheetah, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Black Canary, Robin, Aquaman, Atrocitus, Batman, Blue Beetle, Deadshot, Flash, Gorilla Grodd, Harley Quinn, Supergirl, Superman, and Wonder Woman and Darkseid as a pre-order bonus. The game "Injustice 2" is a sequel to the hit 2013 video game "Injustice: Gods Among Us" developed by NetherRealm Studio for the Warner Bros. The game follows the storyline of Batman and his allies working together to put back the society while struggling to fight anyone who wants to restore Superman's regime. "Injustice 2" will be launched for PS$ and Xbox One on May 16, according to Game Spot. Recently, NetherRealm Studio announced that the game will also be available on mobile.
