Galaxy S8 Leaks, Specs, News: Leaked Images Reveal Rainbow Colors Options, New UI & Icons By Harsh Soni h_soniji@rediffmail.com | Mar 14, 2017 03:50 AM EDT The Galaxy S8 debut is just weeks away from now, and the leaks are currently coming thick and fast. We have seen essentially everything there is to see on the outside of the phone, so it's about time know about the inside of Samsung's upcoming flagship. A leaked series of images from a new APK of Samsung Smart Switch, an app that helps you transfer data between phones, is giving a good idea of what the software will look like on the S8 and S8+. The screenshots, along with a number of redesigned icons for Samsung's pre-installed apps have been revealed by Sam Mobile. The leaked images reveal the main home page and the app launcher, along with a bunch of app icons. Leaks also confirm that Samsung's sticking with the same slightly skinned version of Android which is it's favored for its last few devices. Despite rumors surrounding the integration of Samsung's own AI, Bixby, it looks like the Galaxy S8 will not feature it and stick to offering an Android-first experience. The leaked images also confirm another rumor that, Samsung is moving to virtual navigation buttons for the Galaxy S8 and S8+. Previously leaked images revealed that Samsung is going on losing the physical navigation buttons in favor of on-screen controls, but these images taken from a Samsung app has gone a long way to proving it. Moving to virtual nav buttons, however, makes sense considering the overall design theme for the Galaxy S8. As with largely other flagship phones this year, Samsung looks to target an all-screen, no-bezel front display, as per BGR. TechDroider shared on Twitter an image that appears to show the five color options of the Galaxy S8. Tweeted picture appears to be the front plate of the Galaxy S8 which reveals the alleged colors including glossy black, white, blue, gold and silver. Techdroide also tweeted other images of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ in gold and white, this time with the displays on. Right now, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are only available in black onyx and gold platinum on the Samsung US website, but Samsung has been known to getting crazy wacky with colors before. Following the Note 7 recall last year, Samsung released a promotional coral blue Galaxy S7 Edge.
