Nintendo NES Classic Edition Stock News: Amazon Now Has More Than 150 Units, But at Premium Price By Harsh Soni h_soniji@rediffmail.com | Mar 13, 2017 11:52 AM EDT Nintendo NES Classic Edition was launched last November. Since its launch, the Nintendo has been having supply problems for the consoles. However, recently the Nintendo NES Classic Edition has been spotted in Amazon with more than 150 in stock. Even though Amazon sells it at prices higher than $160 plus shipping the units could be easily sold out now. The $60 retro console is so hard to find and it seems that it's much younger cousin; the Nintendo Switch may also suffer the same fortune as demand continues to rise. The latest update from Amazon page lists 150 units of Nintendo NES Classic Edition available in stock to only one in less than 24 hours. But there are more than 150 Amazon retailers which are selling the mini-console for more than $160, as per Know Techei. In the meantime, online store eBay also has ten available stocks of Nintendo NES Classic Edition, priced a bit lower at $144. However, it's still higher than its original launch price. The NES Classic Edition will come in different modded version with additional games included. The Nintendo NES Classic Edition has 30 games in-built like "Super Mario Bros.," "Donkey Kong," "Legend of Zelda" and other classics games. For those who want to have more games in the console, the console can actually have more than 800 games using the hakchi2 tool. However, the potential risk is high and with a void warranty, as reported by Extreme Tech. A supply chain problem is a key reason for why Nintendo is having supply problems for the Nintendo NES Classic Edition. Tatsumi Kimishima, who is the President of Nintendo, has announced that some part is very difficult to find, but Company is committed to meeting consumers' demands by enhancing its production. Nintendo has also revealed that it's already meeting its schedule in shipping 2 million units of Nintendo Switch consoles by March, according to BGR. Moreover, the hard-to-acquire Nintendo NES Classic Edition will still include a standard HDMI cable, the one old-school gray-colored NES Classic Controller and AC adapter. Console also compatible with the Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro and additional NES Classic controllers will be sold separately.
