‘Grand Theft Auto 6’ Release Date, Latest News & Update: Rockstar Games Using GTA 5 As Groundwork for Blockbuster Sequel By Joseph Patrick | Mar 13, 2017 01:08 AM EDT Rockstar Games has opted to focus on improving “Grand Theft Auto 5”, adding more content and features as of late than star work on “Grand Theft Auto 6”. The move has so far worked, shaking the attention for now as the gaming company focuses on “Red Dead Redemption 2” set to be released in late 2017. “Grand Theft Auto 6” has been confirmed though there is no clue on when it may come out. The plausible date is actually 2018 though a more conservative wait points to 2019. A reason for this is the time needed by game developers were immediately jumping to work after the release of “Red Dead Redemption 2” could prove to be detrimental. To buy “Grand Theft Auto 6” some time and keep loyal action-adventure gamers hooked, improvements to “GTA 5” is being done. Expansions have come out such as the Import/Export free expansion that came out in December 2016 and new stunt races, Game Spot reported. More stunt races hinting at the new Rocket Voltic, Ruiner 2000 and Blazer Aqua vehicles are reportedly planned as well according to a previous post here on Droid Report. The added content continue to make the best-selling game from Rockstar Games up there though most an entirely new game in “Grand Theft Auto 6. Skimming down the rumor mill, suggestions include the use of a new map outside the United States. London has been mentioned, a potential move that could revive “Grand Theft Auto: London’ which came out on the first PlayStation version years ago. Gameplay for “Grand Theft Auto 6” will likely new vehicles and protagonists. A female character has been suggested, reportedly Eva Mendes. Aside from her, hubby Ryan Gosling has also been suggested with GTA 6 putting to good use the voice talents of both actors. The thing to expect for GTA 6 will continue in the coming months. But the updates are expected to shift into high gear after the release of “Red Dead Redemption 2”.
