Samsung Galaxy S8 Latest News & Update: New Leaks Hint At Next Flagship Release On April 28 By Joseph Patrick | Mar 08, 2017 01:46 AM EST The Samsung Galaxy S8 is slowly taking over the tech headlines with the most pressing matter being its actual release date. With Samsung opting to stay mum on the matter, there are different takes on when the redeem flagship will come out. While most want to see it come out earlier, the latest word on that is that it may be maximized towards the end of April. The past weeks have seen two different release dates for the Samsung Galaxy S8. The earliest mentioned was March 29, a date that may be too close to call. With Samsung reportedly starting the production process this month, seeing the Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+ out that early may not be feasible, GSM Arena reported. A more logical date to expect the Samsung Galaxy S8 would be April 21. That seems to be more than enough time for the device to come out. However, there may be further delay according to reliable tipster Evan Blass (@evblass). Though Samsung has done nothing to support the claim, it would be best to consider the facts in front of us. Samsung has already delayed the release of the Samsung Galaxy S8 as it tries to make sure it comes out with a device that will veer it away from the fire-causing Samsung Galaxy Note 7. While the issue may have died down already, the fact is that it may take the time to totally water out. As far as the delay is concerned, one reason being singled out is the availability of the chipsets for the Samsung Galaxy S8. This covers the availability of both the Exynos 9 and Snapdragon 835 SoCs, not to mention further testing to ensure nothing goes haywire, according to Venture Beat. Already missing out on MWC 2017, this serves as good news for rival brands who are filling in for the yet-to-debut Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+.
