From a press conference last Mobile World Congress in Barcelona; he gave details for the device's launch date. According to Android Authority from the statement of Pick Osterloh, tech enthusiasts can count on them in terms of producing another Google Pixel device but the date will be blurry for now. This year's October might be the date of Google Pixel's arrival, the Senior Vice President confirmed that the upcoming handset will stay premium. However, earlier speculation from 9to5 Google who claimed that Google is now planning to introduce a budget Pixel device with a premium one; expected to be called as Google Pixel 2B. The possibility of creating a budget Android device still remains possible. This handset might come without a Pixel on its name, enable to continue the competition between iPhone against Google Pixel branded devices. Meanwhile, Google is now focusing on their few prototypes which were speculated to be known as Google Pixel 2B. This expected Pixel 2B will come in a lower price tag and will carry a less powerful hardware to aim for different market; bringing both Google Phone and Google Experience into developing markets. This upcoming Google Phone into emerging markets will be an interesting strategy from the company; this device will not bring any ordinary smartphone unless an Android One initiative to bring a nearly-pure Google Software experience for faster security updates into emerging markets. Google will launch a budget device aiming for those markets that might offer top-to-bottom control advantage as experienced with the previous Google Pixel. That time when Google switched its phone line branding from Nexus to Pixel last year; the company distanced from high-value devices to become more premium smartphone manufacturer. As of today, the most economical Google Pixel carries a price of $736.59 while the cheapest Google Pixel is at $844.15.
