iPhone SE 2017 Latest News & Updates: Apple Spring Events May Include 128 GB Budget-Friendly Handset

Anticipation continues to grow stronger on what Apple plans to unveil at its Spring Event set for April. Aside from the long overdue iPad Pro 2 lineup, most believe that there are devices debuting as well and this includes a possible iPhone SE with a 128 GB storage.

A lot of this was covered in a previous post which included possibly seeing a new iMac, an Apple Watch and an upgraded MacBook Pro 2017. The basis for such is past Apple Spring Events where the Cupertino company normally debuts more than one device.

Worth noting though that if ever there is a new iPhone SE coming, it goes against previous claims. Before a 128 GB iPhone SE came into the picture, it was believed that Apple would not bring out a new variant for 2017. Most retailers have been trying to clear out their shelves until a memorandum recently called on them to return existing iPhone SE models, Phone Arena reported.

There are two ways to look at the iPhone SE recall. One is that it may have been done due to poor sales. It could be a move to clear up storage space though there are some shops like Target who claim that they have not received the iPhone SE since the iPhone 7 came out, Mac Rumors reported. The alternative reason could be because the Cupertino company is recalling old devices to upgrade their storage and then offer them with larger capacities.

The timing is something more are relying on and it may just be plausible. But the fact remains that even if Apple does resort to storage upgrading for the iPhone SE, it is not expected to be the main focus at the Apple Spring Event in April. The attention will be on the iPad Pro 2 line, specifically the 10.5-inch model which is looming as the standout device recommended for aspiring tablet buyers.
