Game Freak, developer of the seventh-generation “Pokemon” game, would give out the free Shiny Tapu Koko through serial codes. The offer is an exclusive through 7-Eleven stores in the Asian country. 3-Week Redemption Period. According to Video Games Republic, it would be the first time that “Pokemon Sun and Moon” Shiny Tapu Koko would be given away. The redemption of the monster is from March 17 through April 9, 2016. The monster would likely come with a perfect IV while holding an unknown item. The serial code with “Pokemon Sun and Moon” Shiny Tapu Koko, the guardian deity of Melemele Island, would appear different from its usual form. Rather than wear its orange and yellow base color, the monster would be garbed in peach and black, according to Siliconera. There was no mention by Game Freak if the serial codes are limited to only one per player for every release. Works In Other Region. However, 7-Eleven would likely just sell the serial codes or include it in a special promo when gamers buy another item. While the special code are being distributed by Game Freak exclusively in Japan, it would still work in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" in whatever region it is played. Gamers who want a Shiny Tapu Koko could also look for those who got the code and are willing to sell it. The Shiny Tapu Koko is usually found in the Ruins of Conflict’s altar upon completion of the main story by “Pokemon Sun and Moon” players. The legendary monster could be caught only once in the game. Gamers would encounter Shiny Tapu Koko, which could summon thunderclouds and store lightning inside its body, at Level 60 at any time of the day, according to IBT.
