Samsung Galaxy S8 Image Leaks Show Sleek Design, Curved Edges & A Headphone Jack By Van D | Mar 02, 2017 08:59 AM EST The Mobile World Congress 2017 is currently taking place and it is no doubt that one of the most anticipated announcements would be from Samsung. Fans have seen a lot of blurry pictures and numerous rumors when it comes to the specs. Fortunately, a new leak has surfaced and it gives out a full view of what could be the full-body design of the Samsung Galaxy S8. CNet reports that after the aftermath of the disaster of the Galaxy Note 7 recall caused Samsung to postpone the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8. Its latest lineup in the Galaxy S series had always been consistently launched during the annual Mobile World Congress. Instead, they made use of a press conference to tease the upcoming model. Of course, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will still be one of the gold standards in smartphones when it comes out. But, it has to be noted that it has been challenged by many new entrants to the market. Samsung has to come back strong after the backlash with its Note 7 issue. Some of the closest competitors include the LG G6 and Blackberry Key One. BGR gives out some leaked photos of the Samsung Galaxy S8 which are said to come from known gadget leaker Evan Blass. The photos show a beautifully engineered phone that has corresponded with descriptions that have been read in reports over the few months. However, what is depicted is still just a render. Until there is an official announcement from Samsung, these should just be taken with a grain of salt. The Samsung Galaxy S8 as pictured is the smaller version of another phone that will be launched simultaneously with it -- the Galaxy S8+. The larger variant features a 6.2-inch Quad HD + Super AMOLED display, compared to the smaller 5.8-inch screen on the S8. The battery in the larger variant is also larger but, other than that, the two phones are expected to be otherwise identical. The new Samsung Galaxy S8 lineup will feature a design that is very much similar to last year's S7, which is highlighted by a curved AMOLED display with glass that slopes down either side of the phone. With Apple's strange innovations worrying potential buyers, there is no need to worry as the pictures show that these phones are keeping the headphone jack for everyone's convenience.
