MWC 2017 Highlights: LG G6 Installed With 5.7-Inch Full Vision Display Capable for Split-Screen And Google Assistant By Ralphy Bonn Sim | Feb 26, 2017 12:21 PM EST LG's new flagship smartphone named LG G6 has been revealed at the company's launch event at Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona this Sunday, Feb. 26. One of the smartphone's features is the presence of Google Assistant which is the first non-Google smartphone to carry the virtual assistant. According to Engadget, the LG Company will follow their theme; Less Artificial, More Intelligence. President of Mobile Communications Company, LG Electronics Juno Cho stated that the smartphone's competition isn't about its specifications but about its usability and being user-friendly. LG G6 will be the company's first smartphone to launch with the new UX 6.0 along with a 5.7-inch QHD+ FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratios. This makes the device narrower and longer than the current 16:9 smartphones with a fingerprint scanner. LG G6 is said to be that first android phone that was supported by Dolby Vision and supports an HDR10 tech. Dolby confirmed that there are more than 90 movies with Dolby Vision were already available for the LG's new flagship smartphone. About the phones usability, the company built the LG G6 body width at 72mm which is said that the bottom bezel size will be more important in terms of handling the phone that well reduces drop chances. LG G6 display measures a 5.7-inch component which is also brighter than previous LG variants and added by features that support high dynamic range video playback. This device can also be submerged underwater for 30 minutes. Yet, LG G6 will be thinner and smaller than other devices enables to acquire high-quality audio processor and to be equipped with an irremovable battery. This Android 7.0 Nougat device from LG was equipped to feature split-screen software that allows to same size apps to be used at the same time in one screen, either side-by-side interfaces or one-above-the-other, according to BBC Tech. Because of these new split-screen features, users can now run two different apps alongside with each other; display's a monthly calendar in one box and a day's agenda to the other half.
