LG G6 Camera Specs: Smartphone Launching At MWC 2017 To Have Two 13MP Cameras With Different Degree Fields Of View By Vittorio Hernandez | Feb 21, 2017 05:14 AM EST Five days ahead of the launch of the LG G6 smartphone, the South Korean tech giant gave on Tuesday a peek of the device’s cameras on its blog in Korean. More details about the phone would be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress which opens on Feb. 26 in Barcelona, Spain. The LG G6 would be the Seoul-based company’s new flagship. 13M Wide-Angle Cameras My Broadband reports that the LG G6 would have two 13MP wide-angle cameras on the front and back. The selfie shooter would offer a 100-degree field of view. The back camera would come with a 125-degree angle which would allow the images to be shot in a square aspect ratio similar to Instagram posts and the ability to capture almost anything within the user’s line of sight. LG says the 125-degree field of view of the LG G6’s wide angle real shooter is similar to a person’s eye. Different Shooting Modes Other specs of the upcoming LG G6 camera, to be launched at MWC 2017, include a food mode that would increase color saturation, a 360-degree panorama mode and ability to split the screen into two. The viewfinder would be in half of the screen and the previous image in the other half. There would also be an 18:9 mode which uses the screen’s full width and 1:1 square shooting mode, according to GSM Arena. It would save the user from the need go to the phone’s Gallery. A built-in Gallery app would allow the phone user to combine two up to 100 images into a GIF directly from the app. Other Phone Specs The LG G6 is expected to have a 5.7-inch 2,880 x 1,400 touchscreen. The next flagship would run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and be powered by a non-removable battery with a capacity bigger than 3,200mAh. The phone would have a full metal chassis and be water- and dust-resistant. Tweaktown adds the LG G6 would have a USB Type-C port similar to the G5.
