The Phone That Can Cook Three Packs Of Instant Noodles In 10 Minutes: The Oukitel K10000 By Staff Reporter | Dec 18, 2015 04:30 AM EST If thereâs any universal annoyance on smartphones, Android and iOS alike, it would have to be the battery life. To date, technology just hasnât been developed enough to integrate an extra-long battery life, just yet. But Chinese company Oukitel seeks to change this defect. Rolling out a US$239 quad-core device with 10,000 mAh is no small feat. Cammy Harbison of iDigitalTimes points out that this battery capacity is three times the capacity of an iPhone 6S Plus. This battery capacity translates to around 10 to 15 days of standby time. For those who are used to seeing their Androids die within a day, this is going to be a major paradigm shift, indeed. Cammy Harbisonâs estimates, however, peg the actual battery life at around just 5 days. If the battery hasnât impressed you yet, the Oukitel K10000âs specs should also make you understand that itâs a pretty capable device. Although quad-core in an octa-core world is hardly impressive, these specs should make the Oukitel K10000 pretty frustration-free when used. The Oukitel K10000âs Specs: Processor/Chipset: 1.0 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64 bit processor RAM: 2GB GPU: Mali-T720 GPU OS: Android 5.1 Lollipop Internal Storage: 16GB Connectivity: Expandable Storage: microSD up to 32GB Display: 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS Cameras: Primary: 8MP (13MP according to ZDNet); Secondary: 2MP (5MP according to ZDNet Battery: 10,000 mAh, supports charging other phones In a publicity stunt on YouTube, Oukitel hooked 10 K10000 phones to an electric cooker and cooked three packs of instant noodles with vegetables on it. The total cooking time was 10 minutes, and if you recall, most electronic kitchen appliances are rated at 1000 W. While it took 10 phone units to achieve the feat, it still demonstrates the power of the Oukitel K10000 in no uncertain terms. But when your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge or iPhone 6S Plus dies on you, it may well become your primary device. *** With information from: iDigitalTimes: https://www.idigitaltimes.com/new-android-phone-boasts-15-day-battery-life-meet-oukitels-k10000-mah-monster-497724 ZDNet: https://www.zdnet.com/article/15-day-smartphone-battery-life-oukitel-says-its-android-k10000-just-keeps-on-keeping-on/ Oukitel on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/oukitelmobile
