YouTube Going For A Premium Subscription Platform By Staff Reporter | Sep 28, 2015 11:06 PM EDT For those who are fed up by all those annoying ads that play for 5 seconds before they can hit the SKIP button, YouTube is finally rolling out a Premium subscription service. Millions of users bemoan the fact that YouTube currently forces everyone to watch 5 seconds of an advertiserâs video before they can skip to the content they wanted to watch. This unwanted feature of YouTube use is simply so annoying, many take to Twitter to rant about it, while even more just grit their teeth and suffer in silence. In fact, back in 2014, the WTVR CBS 6 News posted a question, âHow much would you pay to skip ads forever on YouTube?â The WTVR CBS 6 News Question: https://www.facebook.com/cbs6wtvr/posts/10152512964752426 The premium service may cost around $10 monthly, and will cover two services from YouTube: The premium user no longer needs to endure the YouTube ads, and they will also be able to enjoy a beta service that YouTube rolled out, the YouTube Music Key. YouTube Music Key will be integrated into the YouTube Red service. YouTube Music Key was a service that allows a user to listen to music from YouTube non-stop on their devices. Whatâs more, the service allows offline playing, as the media files are downloaded to the host device. This comes as a very handy feature for those who are keen on signing up as a Premium YouTube user. Not only will the Premium subscribers get an ad-free YouTube experience, they also get the bonus of being able to enjoy YouTube Music Key. For those who already have subscriptions with other services such as Spotify, Pandora, Deezer, and the like, YouTube Music Key may come as a redundant bonus. If you discover that it could replace your other subscription, though, maybe the new YouTube Premium subscription will let you streamline your media subscriptions. YouTube Premium may roll out by the end of October, though more details are expected to be announced on the Google Nexus event later today.
