Which Phone

Android.com has recently added a new section on their website that helps you choose which phone suits you based on what you need. Inside the phone tab of the website, “Find the Android phone for you” will help you choose by answering some simple questions.

On the main screen, you will be asked what your new phone is for. You can choose as many as you like, but it will require you to enter at least three of these categories:

• Taking photos

• Listening to Music

• Being productive

• Social Media

• Gaming

• Watching videos

• Being on the Go

• Staying Fit

• Texting and instant messaging

• Talking

• Web Browsing

• Expressing my style

Once you select any of these categories, you will also be asked as to how often, how many hours a day or in the case of taking photos, will it be for a fast, high quality photos or an awesome selfie camera. Once you’ve finished answering the questions for one specific category, it will allow you to add more or edit your existing choices or answers. Once you click on “show me phones”, it will ask you to pick a carrier (US only) so it can narrow down the handsets available or you can choose to pick later so your choices won’t be restricted.

Unsurprisingly enough, Google’s flagship handset is one of the top choices you will see along with either an HTC or LG phone that has a better camera or longer battery life. It also displays a comparative view of each feature, depending on the categories you picked, that gives you a better understanding of why the phone was included in the results. You can actually filter the choices further by size, price, carrier or if you want the latest model. Fine tuning these options will yield you better choices than the flagship phones.
