Jawbone UP24 Gets Android Support By Staff Reporter | Mar 11, 2014 02:08 PM EDT Regardless of platform, itâs hard to argue these days that thereâs any shortage of choices when it comes to choosing a fitness tracker, but on Tuesday, Jawbone nevertheless announced it had added Android support for its UP24 bracelet. Jawbone had previously offered Android support only for its older UP band, while the newer UP24 was exclusive to iOS. The UP by Jawbone 3.0 app is available for free on Google Play beginning today."We believe that helping people understand the context and meaning of their data is key in helping to make sustained behavior changes. "Android users have been incredibly active in the UP community, and we're thrilled to bring UP24 to the Android platform." Between regular UP and UP24, there arenât a whole lot of differences and the two fitness trackers are only $20 apart, at $129.99 and $149.99. UP24, as the name implies, is intended for 24-hour use and runs for 7 days on a single charge. The band also features Bluetooth 4.0, a newer standard that allows UP24 to stay connected to your device all day without draining the battery.
