With the upcoming release of the Galaxy S5 on several U.S. carriers next month including T-Mobile and MetroPCS, Samsung is stepping up the marketing campaign for its flagship Android smartphone. On Monday, the company announced that a variety of apps and services would come bundled with the Galaxy S5 at a value of more than $600, according to Samsung.

The bundled services include 50GB of Dropbox storage for two years, a six-month subscription to the Wall Street Journal and a year of premium service with the RunKeeper fitness app.

“We are continually looking for the best partners to help us expand and enhance the mobile experience for our dedicated users,” said JK Shin, CEO and president of IT & mobile division, Samsung Electronics in a press statement. “The Galaxy S5 was designed to offer consumers the most advanced tool to help improve their everyday lives. These new partnerships perfectly compliment this mission with a comprehensive offering of some of the world’s best mobile resources to suit people’s active lives.”

Samsung is keen to be perceived by consumers as both an electronics company and lifestyle brand, so it will be important to not only move a high volume of Galaxy S5’s, but also encourage device owners to use their phones in new ways.

Among the 16 bundled services, Samsung is including three fitness offerings, which seems to reflect the company’s renewed focus on that area. Last month at Mobile World Congress, Samsung unveiled the Gear Fit, a curved-glass activity tracker with changeable straps and Super AMOLED touchscreen display.

“Millions of people around the world count on RunKeeper for guidance and motivation around their fitness,” said Jake Cacciapaglia, director of business development at RunKeeper. “RunKeeper's partnership with Samsung provides users access to live activity broadcasting and deeper insights around their fitness. We’re excited to work together with Samsung to improve the lives of Galaxy S5 users by helping them get and stay fit.”
