LG Reveals L90 Specs

By Staff Reporter | Mar 07, 2014 01:38 PM EST

LG has officially revealed the specs for its new L90 Android smartphone. The handset represents the top-of-the-line model in the company’s L Series III, and while the smartphone is much less powerful than the G2 or G2 Mini, it’s still a more than viable option for shoppers looking for a solid, mid-range Android device.

Among the LG L90’s highlights are a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor with an Adreno 305 GPU and 8GB of internal storage space. The phone ships running Android 4.4 KitKat.

“With its competitive specs and exquisite design, we expect the L90 to continue the success of the L Series in the global marketplace,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company in a press statement. “It offers the very best of LG in design, hardware, OS and UX features so 3G smartphone users worldwide will be able to enjoy a truly first-class smartphone experience.”

One of the more innovative features found on the LG L90 is “Knock Code,” an evolution of the KnockON feature first released with the LG G2. Knock Code allows users to power on and unlock their device in one step by choosing one of over 86,000 “knock” combinations that are entered by tapping on the device’s screen. A combination consists of two to eight taps and can be entered anywhere on the screen, whether the display is on or off.
