Samsung Reveals Paralympics Campaign By Staff Reporter | Mar 06, 2014 05:58 PM EST Now that the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games are over, Samsung is putting its full weight behind a campaign for the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games, which kick off this weekend.The company will introduce a variety of new events and offerings, while carrying over some highlights from the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games campaign, such as the WOW mobile app.âThrough our partnership with the IPC and access to inspirational athletes, Samsung is in a unique position to provide an opportunity for people worldwide to see and experience the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games in a new way, directly from the perspective of the athletes,â said Younghee Lee, executive vice president of global marketing, IT & mobile division at Samsung Electronics in a press statement. âThrough on-the-ground activations in Sochi and our mobile technologies and social campaigns, Samsung aims to spread the Paralympic Movement worldwide.â As part of the campaign, Samsung will provide 30 leading Paralympians with a Galaxy Note 3 to record behind-the-scenes footage that will be uploaded to a video blog. The company will also be renovating its Galaxy Studio Olympic Park to create an event called âDialogue in the Dark,â where participants will be able to get a sense of what daily life is like for the visually impaired.âOur partnership with Samsung has made great progress throughout the past several years and is playing an essential role to further develop the Paralympic Movement and share the inspirational stories of Paralympians around the world,â said Sir Philip Craven, president of the IPC. âThe unprecedented access that the âSochi 2014 Samsung Paralympic Bloggerâ program is providing is something that the IPC is very excited about, and that sentiment will be amplified by the 30 athletes telling their individual stories to the world in the coming weeks.âAll athlete-generated content will be available on the IPCâs YouTube channel, as well as each athleteâs social media accounts.
