LG Announces G2 Mini

LG is the latest company to join in the mini smartphone craze, announcing on Wednesday the G2 mini, a scaled-down version of its flagship G2. The phone will debut at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The LG G2 mini has a fairly decent specs sheet. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 and runs the latest and greatest Android 4.4 KitKat. On the downside, the phone only has 8GB of internal storage and its 960 x 540 resolution definitely won’t turn any heads. Still, as long as the price is right, the G2 mini could make for a very nice midrange Android smartphone.

The G2 mini will carry over many of the UX features from LG’s flagship G Series models, so if you’re a fan of Guest Mode, Plug & Pop or Clip Tray, but want something slightly smaller than a 5.2” display, the G2 mini might be just the phone you’re looking for.
