Educational tablets for Android is transforming with digital textbooks for the 21st century. Students using mobile devices now have greater opportunities to connect in classrooms. K-12 learning is adopting Android smartphones and tablets resulting in an overall impact of how users work and live with mobile. Google / The Tech LifestyleThe company had released two designs in reference to the tablets which support content for education. The designs are for its clamshell notebook and tablet devices. Intelâs notebook was dubbed as Clamshell EF10MI2, part of the companyâs classmate family. The Android new tabletâs availability and price has not yet been disclosed. Intelâs Android tablet features a generous 10.1-inch IPS LCD 5-point multi-touch display with 1280 x 800 pixels. The device is powered by Intelâs 1.2 GHz dual-core Atom Z2520 processor. It also hosts 1GB LPDDR2 RAM. The Android tablet is running on Android version 4.2, Jelly Bean. It also features a 5MP rear camera and 1.26MP front camera.Intel plans to partner with multiple vendors for introducing the education tablets to classrooms. PBS LearningMedia released findings from a national survey of pre-K-12 teachers that provides a current snapshot of how teachers are utilizing technology in Americaâs classrooms, the types of technology teachers have access to and their attitudes toward technology. Three-quarters of teachers surveyed link educational technology to a growing list of benefits, saying technology enables them to reinforce and expand on content (74%), to motivate students to learn (74%), and to respond to a variety of learning styles (73%). Seven in 10 teachers (69%) surveyed said educational technology allows them to âdo much more than ever beforeâ for their students.
